Safeguarding Sunday 2024; Colouring Competition

Safeguarding Sunday

This year, National Child Protection Week will continue the message ‘Every child in every community needs a fair go’. This message captures the essence of National Child Protection Week which aims to promote a safe and supported life for every child, now and into the future. This year for Safeguarding Sunday, 8th Sept, there is a colouring-in competition being held (see below).

All children and young people are invited to participate by colouring in their own entry. In the speech bubble they may like to add their first name, or a message they’d like to share with the Parish. A prize will be awarded to the most creative parish collage of pictures submitted. Entries are open from 1st to 13th Sept. The winning Parish will be decided upon and announced at a time shortly after the closing date and will feature in a follow-up article in the Southern Cross.

The colouring-in page is available in our Churches, the Parish Office and can be downloaded below. Please encourage your children and grandchildren to be involved.

You can bring the entries into the Parish Office or scan and email them to lefevre@catholicparishes.com.au by 12.30pm on Friday, 13th Sept.

-Thank you, Carolyn
